Tod’s Autumn Winter 2014-2015 Collection
Tod’s launched its Autumn Winter 2014-2015 collection designed by Creative Director Alessandra Facchinetti at the Milan Fashion Week.
Tod’s Autumn Winter 2014-2015 is for the woman whose looks is hyper-feminine or more graphic when exploring the sartorial style with a sophisticated unisex flavour. The spirit is necessarily free, merging past and future: sartorial details transformed into day-to-day urban existence.
Juxtaposing leather and fabric and swapping their roles continues to be the brand’s craft’s approach. Leather worked like modern lacquering, cashmere, mink patterned as macro checks, wool treated like a warm gauze almost without volume and jacquard are the materials used. This collection lowers lines and pockets and softens proportions to highlight a casual approach: comfort is priority, even in the ultra-constructed garments
The silhouettes were easy and free flowing with the colour palatte filled with pale violet, soft grey-blues, royal bue and regal claret.
Peacots, cabans, bomber jackets, cagoules and double breasted jackets-the best of Made in Italy, revisited. In a continuous dialogue between sport and couture.
Checks as jacquard, appearing in wool and silk, shiny-matte. Different sizes with regular/irregular patterning are played with in revisiting of the most classic pattern.
